Our elected representatives are so eager to save unborn babies they are stepping all over one another to propose legislation designed to defund Planned Parenthood. Apparently, the last election didn't register with these two women...
Rep. Diane Black and Rep. Marsha Blackburn, both from the Volunteer State, each submitted identical bills designed to withhold Title X money from any organization that performs abortions. The exact same legislation was proposed in the last session of Congress by Mike Pence of Indiana.
Marsha Blackburn is a piece of work. If the cable news networks need a talking head to 'splain things from the teabaggy side of politics, she's always primed, with make-up in her holster, ready to step before the cameras and hold forth upon whatever's in the news. She's so happy to get that cable news face time that she often volunteers as a spokesperson for causes she's not all that familiar with. A couple of her encounters with MSNBC's Chris Matthews have been hilarious to watch...

While running for office both were all about "Creating Jobs". JOBS!! JOBS!! But the fist bills of the new Congress? De-fund Planned Parenthood. Makes sense ....

These two pander bears are one of the reasons I cringe whenever our congressional delegation is mentioned on the news.
