Many years ago I purchased a solo acoustic CD by Nancy Wilson in which she covered Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes", and at that point I realized this lady could play ANYTHING on guitar... But the total package of choral background singers and orchestral accompaniment makes this one of the best covers I've ever heard. If you watch the original members of Led Zep as this performance unfolds, it appears that tears are welling up in Robert Plant's eyes.
President Obama and the First Lady are in attendance, and a cello player by the name of Yo Yo Ma is looking on, too.
This is absolutely amazing, and I recommend you hang around for the entire cut!

Ann Wilson ain't too shabby on vocals either.
Mr. Ornery, you've just risen to the top of my favorite blobber commenter list!!!
I've been waiting (oh so patiently...) for someone, anyone, to comment on the incredible vocals Ann Wilson put out for this performance. Cricket noises...
Thanks for taking notice of an angelic voice we rarely hear these days!
Wow
Squat. I'm weeping like a baby. There must be a tear trigger in my brain that this pulled. When she got to, "..I looked to the West..." the spigots opened. I have snot on my chin and my glasses are freckled with eyelash splatter.
I saw Heart live in Dallas in 1971. 1972? Whateverthefuck, I had dreams of that husky, driving, sweet voice for months after. I once dreamed her voice on Ann Margret singing Baracuda--true story.
Thanks for this.
