You have no idea how proud my fellow Tennesseans are of Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN). No idea.
She's our clone from the Michele Bachmann school of political robotics, and she's damn good at it. Tune in any Sunday when she's invited onto a cable gabfest and allowed to hold forth, but only if you're interested in watching a talking points recitation. If you're tuning in to hear original, thoughtful discourse on a policy, you might want to find another program until Marsha's done.
Rep. Blackburn agreed to an interview with CNN's Brooke Baldwin to respond to criticism aimed at Mitt Romney's campaign spokeswoman's gaffe concerning Romneycare in Massachusetts. After Baldwin plays Blackburn a clip of Andrea Saul's comments, she asks Rep. Blackburn to respond.
At that exact moment, a mental trigger was pulled, like a string on the back of a Chatty Cathy doll, and Marsha began to spew her script of Obamacare criticisms, even as the host tried again and again to remind her that the question was about Romneycare.
I could have warned the silly CNN host: You can't knock a robot off stride simply by interrupting its recorded lines. She has certain lines she's supposed to deliver on this matter, and hell or high water, Marsha's gonna say her lines.
It's as predictable as hearing "I'd like to thank the Academy..." at the Oscars. She's read her daily talking points memo, memorized the order in which she's to recite them, and she's ready and willing to appear on as many interview cameos as necessary. Call her, she'll go into her speech at the drop of a donation.
Watch the video. Imagine this woman representing you in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Shit... you'd be proud too, right?

You almost have to sit through that vid about three times to understand how Manchurian Candidate-like that woman sounds.
I guess I can be thankful the vid is no longer available.
sorry, Kulk... I guess she pulled the plug on THAT clip.
